Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing for those in need of assistance. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and support.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met with sensitivity and respect.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental wellbeing.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in clients’ conditions.
Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
Support clients with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organising personal belongings.
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.

Requirements

Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely within the community.
Experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards clients.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about caring for others and committed to delivering exceptional support that enhances quality of life.
