Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar PV Roofer to join our team in Worthing and surrounding areas. This role involves mounting photovoltaic solar panel systems on various rooftops, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of roofing techniques, mounting systems, and mechanical tools, with a passion for renewable energy projects. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their expertise within the solar energy industry while contributing to sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

Installing solar PV panels on diverse roof types, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening
Assisting with the preparation of roofing surfaces and ensuring weatherproofing standards are met
Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
Applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues effectively
Collaborating with electrical teams to ensure safe integration of solar systems into existing electrical infrastructure
Adhering to all health and safety regulations during installation and maintenance activities
Performing routine inspections and maintenance on installed systems to optimise performance

Experience

Proven experience in roofing, particularly with flat or pitched roofs suitable for solar panel installation
Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools in construction settings
Mechanical knowledge relevant to structural supports and mounting hardware
Electrical experience or background is highly desirable, especially related to photovoltaic systems or general electrical wiring
Strong understanding of safety protocols within construction and renewable energy environments
