This Purchasing Coordinator role will support the Procurement Manager by taking on the tactical, end to end purchasing lifecycle for one of the production lines. This role will be perfect for a Graduate with minimum of a strong placement year, or 2-3 years post-grad, or similar equivalent experience.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager and based in the office, a summary of the three pillars of the role is as follows:
· Procurement and Purchase Order Management – Create, track and expedite all purchase orders. Co-ordinate the sourcing of printed circuit boards assemblies (PCBAs).
· Supplier liaison – Be the day to day point of contact for component suppliers, resolving enquiries and delivery discrepancies. Monitor supplier performance (On time, in full, OTIF). Communicate the performance metrics to ensure accountability.
· Inventory Control and Data Integrity – Assist the Supply Chain Manager in controlling the inventory value which will include lots of data analysis in Excel and the ERP system.
The Ideal Candidate
You will ideally have 2-3 years experience in the workplace, with exposure to procurement, purchasing or supply chain administration. It is a technical product so a capability to deal with engineering/electronics type products is important. You will need to enjoy Excel and have strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc). In terms of personal skills, you will have a strong attention to detail, be precise when handling data and be a good problem solver. Communication skills are necessary as you’ll have exposure both to suppliers and other teams internally.
