Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Ground Worker/Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting construction and landscaping projects by assisting with various manual tasks on-site. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the construction industry while contributing to the successful completion of projects. The role is paid and suitable for those eager to work outdoors in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Assisting with site preparation, including clearing debris and organising materials
Digging trenches, holes, and foundations as required
Moving and handling materials such as bricks, cement, and tools around the site
Supporting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by removing waste and hazards
Assisting with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding or temporary structures
Operating basic tools and equipment under supervision
Following health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a secure working environment

Experience

Previous experience in manual labour or construction work is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the working day
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors
A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory; however, ability to assist with transportation of materials is beneficial

Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
