Description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team at London Heathrow. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career in Procurement as part of a global organisation.

As the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio, covering a broad range of indirect categories including facilities management, IT, professional services, MHE, PPE, temporary labour, fleet support services, and warehouse consumables.

This role is key to ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and value-driven sourcing strategies that support business operations across multiple sites.

Please note this is a Fixed-Term Contract role for 12 months.

Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be:-

Develop and implement category strategies across indirect procurement with a focus on total cost of ownership and supplier performance.
Lead end-to-end procurement activities, from tendering and supplier selection to negotiation, contract award, and performance management.
Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Warehouse Management, IT, HR, and Finance to understand business needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
Monitor market trends and supplier developments to identify opportunities for innovation, savings, or risk mitigation.
To ensure full compliance with procurement governance, legal standards, and ESG targets.
Driving continuous improvement and best-in-class procurement practices across the organisation.
Report on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
Managing vendors and ensuring compliance with contract terms through effective SLA management.
Overseeing ESG initiatives with vendors and providing comprehensive reporting.
Driving cost savings in collaboration with operations and finance team.

To be successful in this role you will need:-

Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or Category Manager, ideally with experience of a fast-paced operational environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage significant multi-category spend portfolios (ideally £10m+).
Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and commercial acumen.
To be a self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to influence across levels.
