Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes from fresh local ingredients and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a professional environment that values creativity, leadership, and food safety. As Second Chef you will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional cuisine and excellent service.

Job Role

Preparation, Cooking and Plating of hot and cold foods from the Starter and Dessert Sections, Lite Bite and Takeaway Menus.
Carry out Lunch and Set Day menu service
Write daily preparation lists and complete in order of urgency.
Check and put away orders and stock rotate.
Keep kitchen clean, tidy and organised.
Keep EHO paperwork up to date, fridge/freezer temperature checks etc.
Be able to lead the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.
Any other Ad Hoc duties as and when required by the Head Chef.

Experience

Minimun of 2 years experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Experience with food production processes
Ability to work effectively within a team and alone and manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
