Ian Chamberlain Groundworks Limited

Job Specification – Groundworks Labourer

Objectives

Working within policies and procedures, covering all aspects of Groundworks to achieve a high standard of work completed on schedule.

Reporting
Reporting to the director – Ian Chamberlain

Key Responsibilities

All aspects of Groundworks
Drainage and pipe laying
Digging footings
Shuttering
Foundation work
Externals and finishings (slabbing, kerbing, paving)
Concreting
Complying with Health and Safety policy and procedures
Wearing PPE
General labouring
Driving company vehicles
Ensure company property is looked after

Competencies

Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to think ahead and give consideration to the job at hand
Use of power tools
Self-motivated, keen to learn, conscientious and prepared to work in outdoor conditions.
Reliable and punctual
Physically fit for duties around site

Education/Experience

Must hold a valid full UK driving licence (clean licence)
Experience in operating 360 Excavators, Dumpers and Rollers or Groundworks duties
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience
CPCS or Streetworks tickets are an advantage
