We are currently looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeping Assistant to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.

The Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring our care home remains clean, hygienic, and comfortable. You will work as part of a supportive team, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control while contributing to the wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out daily cleaning duties in residents' rooms, communal areas, offices, and other areas of the home.
Perform deep cleaning tasks as required.
Vacuum, dust, mop, sanitise, and maintain all designated areas to a high standard.
Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, sorting, and distributing residents' clothing and linens.
Safely dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures and infection control standards.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and housekeeping stock.
Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, incidents, and faulty equipment promptly.
Work closely with colleagues across departments to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
Interact with residents in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner.
Follow all health and safety, infection control, and company policies and procedures.
Attend training, staff meetings, supervision sessions, and appraisal meetings as required.
