I'm a doctor, entrepreneur, and single mum to two bright, spirited mixed-heritage girls (Caucasian and Caribbean) aged 3½ and 5½. Originally from North London, we're based in Snodland, Rochester.
I'm building a portfolio of ventures — including what will become the world's first micro-school franchise, starting right here in Kent. It's an alternative education model — a hybrid between school and home learning, rooted in child-led principles. Life in our household is creative, ambitious, and full of warmth.
I'm looking for someone who wants to be part of that — not just a brilliant nanny, but someone who's excited to grow alongside a family that's building something genuinely new.
The Role
This is primarily a nanny role. Your focus is the girls — their care, activities, and development. The PA side is family logistics: scheduling, errands, household admin.
There may also be the opportunity to support my ventures as a venture PA, with those hours paid at a higher rate.
Core hours (minimum):
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8am–6pm (at least one long day per week, occasionally until 9–11pm for London events)
- Friday: Half day
- Monday: Flexible — available as a PA day, or for nanny sharing with other local families
Off weekends.
There's also the possibility of occasional travel — our current nanny has joined us on trips to the Caribbean and Spain as well as UK staycations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Sole charge care of two girls — one in school, one at home
- Getting out and about: activities, outings, parks, classes (this isn't a stay-at-home role)
- School runs and pickups, including occasionally from the children's father's home nearby
- Meal prep, routines, and age-appropriate learning activities
- Family logistics: scheduling, errands, household admin
- Venture PA support (at a higher rate) as the businesses grow
You Are…
- Genuinely warm, fun, and child-centred — the girls come first, always
- Active and adventurous — you love getting kids out into the world
- Highly organised and proactive
- Flexible and calm in a busy, dynamic household
- A creative thinker who uses initiative
- The holder of your own car — essential for this role
- Experienced in a similar nanny or family assistant role
- Excited by being part of something early-stage, meaningful, and growing
An interest in alternative or child-led education is a real bonus.
What We Offer
- £14–18/hr for nanny and family logistics work, depending on experience
- Higher rate for any venture PA hours PAYE or contractor arrangement
- Genuinely flexible leave — our current nanny of nearly four years has taken leave when she needed to, and we've always made it work
- Support to become Ofsted-registered if required
- Opportunity to travel Nanny sharing opportunity — our current nanny shares with a small number of other families at rates she negotiates directly, boosting her income significantly. You’re welcome to do the same.
- A role where you're valued, trusted, and part of something bigger
Our current nanny has been with us for nearly four years — we hope that says something about what it's like to work with us.
If you start before the end of June, there will be a handover period so you can get to grips with everything together.
Pay: £14.00-£17.50 per hour
