As a Nursery Apprentice, you will earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience alongside completing your Early Years qualification and building the foundations for a rewarding long-term career.

No previous childcare experience is required — just enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Nursery Apprentice, you will:

Work towards achieving your Early Years qualification within the agreed apprenticeship timescale
Follow a structured development programme supported by both the training provider and nursery team
Complete your nursery induction programme with support from a dedicated mentor
Work closely with your mentor and keep them updated on your progress and development
Support staff to observe, plan, and maintain children’s learning and development records
Learn and develop a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child welfare
Assist with creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children
Share responsibility for children’s care, wellbeing, health, safety, and cleanliness across the setting
Gain valuable practical experience across all areas of nursery life
