Vehicle Mechanic

Star Cabs LTD – Haverhill
Full-time | Permanent

Salary - TBC

Hours

Monday to Friday
Hours depending on workload

About the Role

Star Cabs LTD is a local logistics company providing PSV and taxi services. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at our Haverhill depot. You will work closely with the Workshop Manager, carrying out daily maintenance and repairs to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled vehicle servicing in line with company guidelines
Diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment (preferred)
Ensure vehicles meet Local Authority requirements, including MOT and Plate Tests
Maintain a safe and high-quality working environment
Attend vehicle breakdowns as required
Test drive vehicles (taxi test required – paid for by the company)
Complete a Local Authority DBS check (paid for by the company)

Requirements

Ideally Level 3 qualified vehicle mechanic
Full UK Driving Licence (required)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a strong work ethic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
