What You’ll Be Doing…
This is a role where you can truly bring joy, creativity, and connection to life.
You’ll lead, develop, and deliver a vibrant, person-centred activities programme that makes every day exciting and fulfilling. Whether it’s music, arts and crafts, themed events, celebrations, community outings, exercise sessions, or meaningful one-to-one time, you’ll create experiences that residents look forward to.
You’ll make sure every resident feels included, valued, and engaged, regardless of their needs—helping to boost confidence, independence, and overall wellbeing.
You will:
- Lead and support the Activities Team, helping them grow and succeed
- Design a varied, creative, and engaging activities programme tailored to individual interests and goals
- Encourage participation and build strong relationships with residents and families
- Ensure all activities are safe and well-planned through thoughtful risk assessments
- Adapt activities to suit changing abilities, needs, and preferences
- Monitor engagement and continuously improve what you offer
- Make sure resident interests, life stories, and goals are reflected in everything you do
- Maintain high standards in line with Health & Safety, CQC, and organisational policies
- Play a key role in creating a fun, positive, and welcoming atmosphere across the home

What We’re Looking For…
- Experience in leading or coordinating activities within a care or support setting.
- Strong understanding of person-centred and relationship-centred care.
- Ability to design and deliver inclusive, meaningful activity programmes.
- Experience of supervising or managing staff.
- Knowledge of risk assessment processes and safe activity delivery.
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and oversee documentation.
Desirable
- Experience working with adults with neurological conditions, acquired brain injury or learning disabilities.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance.
- Experience in community engagement and event planning.
- Training in behaviour support or therapeutic activities
