Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable part-time School Cleaner to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within our educational premises. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors by delivering high standards of cleanliness throughout the school facilities. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment with a focus on attention to detail and professionalism.

Duties

Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas
Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness of furniture, fixtures, and equipment within the school premises
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety standards
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly
Follow designated cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures is advantageous
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users of the school facilities
Ability to work during designated hours with flexibility for occasional additional duties if required
