The Role
As YGHP Accounts Manager, you will oversee the daily financial activities of the business, ensuring smooth and accurate financial processes while supporting strategic decision-making through timely reporting and forecasting.
You will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow, strengthening financial controls, and ensuring our customers and suppliers receive a professional and efficient service.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations
- Raise and manage customer invoices accurately and promptly.
- Process and monitor order confirmations.
- Maintain sales and purchase ledgers.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable activities.
- Reconcile bank accounts and financial transactions.
- Monitor debtor balances and support credit control activities.
Cash Flow & Forecasting
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor cash positions and identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Support budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Produce management reports and financial summaries.
Financial Administration
- Ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
- Assist with month-end and year-end procedures.
- Support external accountants and auditors when required.
- Maintain compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies.
Business Support
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure financial accuracy.
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
- Assist management with ad-hoc financial projects and reporting requirements.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience in an Accounts Manager, Finance Manager, Bookkeeper, or similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience managing invoicing, reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong Excel and financial systems such as Sage & Xero knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Professional communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Desirable
- AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent experience.
- Experience within a growing company environment.
- Knowledge of cloud-based accounting platforms such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
- Experience producing management accounts and KPI reporting.
