Summary

To support the Finance department we are looking to recruit an experienced Finance assistant who will have a dual role working in both the purchase and sales ledger departments.

The role is interesting, varied and given the growth of the business there is significant potential for career progression.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in both purchase and sales ledgers
Strong understanding of reconciliations, payment runs and invoice processing
Numerical ability and excellent attention to detail
The ability to manage their own workload and work independently when required
Able to use Excel and confidence with finance systems and ERP software
Experience managing supplier and customer relationships

Candidates will be responsible for:

Chasing payments to ensure customer accounts are paid in full and on time
Reviewing sales ledger accounts to ensure they are accurate and correct
Undertaking bank and sales ledger reconciliations
Providing a high level of customer service
Matching stock purchase orders to invoices and dealing with discrepancies
Managing their own list of UK and international supplier accounts
Ensuring invoices are approved, processed and paid in a timely manner
Producing payment runs twice monthly to ensure invoices are paid on time
Completing supplier statement reconciliations and identifying actions required
Undertaking wider accounting duties and assisting with ad hoc tasks as required

Hours & Salary Details

Working hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.

Job Type: Office based, Full-time. Permanent (after successful probationary period).

Required experience: Previous experience in a comparable accounts role is essential.

Pay: £26,436.80 per year
