Company Brief:

Cambertronics are a leading supplier of Printed Circuit Electronics Design & Printed Circuit Board Assembly, based in Cranleigh, Surrey. Our primary business is Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM) for industries that include automotive, rail, marine and consumer electronics.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced, organised, articulate professional to lead our talented and passionate Quotation and Purchasing Team. Industry experience is essential as is experience of the Purchasing function, solving problems and successfully liaising with operational departments to deliver first class services throughout the business.

Responsibilities

Support Sales function and work with Engineering to prepare material quotes and costings in line with customer requirements using Excel/ERP/MRP
Manage new enquiries and repeat projects through ERP/Quoting System
Manage supplier orderbooks & inventory levels to ensure alignment with demand
Liaise with customers to support production planning
Maintain and update cost databases, standard pricing models, and historical quote archive
Qualify new vendors and analyse data to negotiate best Terms in order to maximise company returns
Track quality issues with suppliers to ensure materials are on-time, meet specification/s and available to production in a timely manner
Inventory Management: Manage supply errors, ensure robust systems are developed, maintained and adhered to and eradicate errors
Challenge current processes for continuous improvement

Requirements

3 years’ experience of Electronics Manufacturing Procurement
Ability to read and interpret technical information from data and technical drawings
Experience and ability of being able to develop a strategic approach in the management of suppliers & KPIs
Knowledge and experience of electronics, electronics assembly, components and associated costs/pricing/influencing factors
Demonstrate an understanding of cost drivers in a manufacturing environment
Experience of Quality systems, specifically ISO9001
Familiarity with IPC standards and RoHS/REACH/COSHH compliance
Demonstrate business acumen and commercial awareness
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively with other teams & department members
HND or degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable but not essential

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without Visa Sponsorship
