Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter/Waitress to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders accurately, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant environment where hospitality and customer satisfaction are our top priorities. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about food service and guest relations.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Assist with basic food preparation or setup when required
Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas
Address guest queries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to deliver seamless service

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and serving protocols
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing purposes
Familiarity with food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus
Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
Outstanding guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest experience and sales
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables simultaneously
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required
