Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated machine operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing various types of fencing, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on each project. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the construction industry and work on diverse projects across residential and commercial sites. Applicants must be reliable, physically fit, and eager to contribute to high standards of craftsmanship.

Duties

Operate plant (telehandler, digger & dumper) tickets essential.
Prepare the site by clearing debris and ensuring a safe working environment
Install fence posts and panels using machines
Moving materials with telehandler throughout sites
Operate machinery such as post drivers, drills, and saws safely and effectively
Ensure all fencing installations meet safety standards and client expectations
Assist in the maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure longevity and safety
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes

Skills

Must have tickets to operate telehandler, 360 digger and forward tipping dumper
Familiarity with hand tools (hammers, chisels, levels) and power tools (drills, saws)
Strong physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and safety protocols
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

This position provides an engaging environment for those passionate about construction trades, offering opportunities for skill development in multiple disciplines related to fencing installation.

Must be willing to travel.

Must have relevant plant tickets mentioned above.
