Job Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role, for a Hire Desk Controller. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in our busy Powered Access/Plant Hire department, including managing the hiring and rental process, coordinating with customers and suppliers, maintaining records and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate for Hire Controller :

Previous experience in a Plant, Powered access, Tool or Material Handling hire industry would be beneficial but not essential.
Good knowledge of Microsoft packages, and computer skills in general.
Good communication skills.

Note: salary is negotiable dependent on experience, qualifications and role.

Duties

An enthusiastic team player who willingly shares knowledge and information.
Motivated self-starter, committed to offering first-class customer service.
Displays integrity in all interactions.
Processing orders for hire, alongside completing the relevant paperwork and maintaining the database systems.
Liaising with various departments, to ensure information is accurate and up to date ready for hire.
Build effective customer relationships and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Must have excellent attention to detail and able to query anomalies in information.
Experience with Word, Excel (including standard formulas) and a good level of numeracy skills.
Co-ordinate the full hire process from enquiry, supplying quotes, through to delivery and collection.
Dealing with external supplier hires and off hires.
Weekly reporting.

Associated administration and support activity to support the team and company

Experience
* Proven experience as a Hire Controller or similar customer service role essential.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent customer service skills and ability to build professional rapport efficiently
* Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills both verbally & written.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
