Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our friendly dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to combine patient care with administrative responsibilities, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all patients. The successful candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality dental care. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their career within a supportive environment.

Part time / Full time qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist required for friendly Fully Private dental surgery located in Barnham. Very modern surgery with great facilities. The surgery is located near to Barnham train station with great links. The ideal candidate would be available to work from 9.00 till 17.00. Practise uses Dentally with Clinipads and automated recall and reminder system, digital X-Rays, CBCT scanner, full CEREC set up. Highly skilled and supportive staff.

Responsibilities

Providing compassionate patient care before, during, and after dental procedures
Assisting dentists with clinical tasks and maintaining sterilisation protocols
Managing appointment scheduling and patient records efficiently using IT systems
Greeting patients warmly upon arrival and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit
Handling reception duties including answering phone calls, managing enquiries, and processing payments
Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with practice policies and data protection regulations
Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment and reception area
Supporting the team with administrative tasks such as stock management and correspondence

Experience

Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar clinical support role within a dental practice
Strong knowledge of patient care procedures and infection control standards
Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practice management - Dentally
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
Organisational skills capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Previous experience in reception duties is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for clinical responsibilities
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a professional attitude at all times

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
