Full job description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Estimator to join our growing building company. This role would particularly suit an ex-tradesperson looking to move into an office-based position while continuing to use their practical construction knowledge.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for building projects.
Review drawings, specifications, and project information.
Measure quantities and calculate material and labour costs.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and the site team.
Assist with project planning and cost control.
Ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted on time.

Requirements

Previous experience in the building or construction industry.
A background as a builder, carpenter, bricklayer, groundworker, or other construction trade would be highly adventageous.
Good understanding of construction methods and materials.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Competent using Microsoft office is an advantage.
