Are you passionate about sport and inspiring the next generation? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Hourly Paid Lecturer in Sport to join our thriving and ambitious Sport team.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver on our BTEC Level 3 Sport programmes, supporting learners to achieve their full potential and progress into higher education or careers within the sport and fitness industry.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a football background who can contribute to the continued growth of our Advanced Football Programme, delivered in partnership with Oxford United in the Community.

You’ll play a key role in shaping a high-profile programme, working with driven student-athletes and supporting both their academic success and sporting development.

What you’ll be doing

Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across BTEC Level 3 Sport.
Planning, assessing and tracking learner progress to ensure positive outcomes.
Providing academic and pastoral support to help students succeed.
Supporting the development and continuous improvement of the Sport provision.
Contributing to the delivery and growth of the Advanced Football Programme.
Creating an inclusive and inspiring learning environment that promotes independence and ambition.

What we’re looking for

Experience in sport education, lecturing, or coaching.
Knowledge of BTEC Level 3 Sport programmes
A football background (coaching, playing, or programme delivery).
A passion for motivating and supporting young people.
A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to learner success.

Any successful candidates will be required to complete a structured training pathway, unless they already hold the relevant qualifications. This includes a two-week teacher induction (must be completed within probation), followed by the Award in Education and Training (AET) including Assessor is required, and then the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) apprenticeship. Completion of this structured learning programme is expected within 3 years. Furthermore, there is the option to pursue Qualified Teacher Learning Status (QTLS).
