Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Vaccinator to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering Flu and Covid vaccines to patients in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to public health initiatives and patient well-being. Prior experience in patient care and medication administration is highly desirable, though comprehensive training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to supporting community health efforts.

Responsibilities

Prepare and administer vaccinations to patients following established protocols and guidelines
Ensure proper documentation of all vaccination procedures in accordance with healthcare regulations
Monitor patients post-vaccination for any adverse reactions and provide appropriate assistance if necessary
Maintain a clean and organised vaccination area, adhering to infection control standards
Educate patients about the benefits and potential side effects of vaccines
Assist in managing patient flow to minimise wait times and optimise service delivery
Follow all health and safety policies to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff

Skills

Proven experience in patient care or healthcare settings is advantageous
Knowledge of human anatomy relevant to vaccination procedures
Competence in medication administration, including injections and related techniques
Excellent communication skills with the ability to reassure and inform patients effectively
Organised with keen attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with protocols
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a caring approach
Willingness to undertake ongoing training to stay current with vaccination practices and guidelines
