Full job description

House of Flags Ltd is a leading UK manufacturer of printed textiles, PVCs and Signage. We offer a range of products including flags, flagpoles, banners, display stands and signage. Our in-house print team uses the latest dye sublimation and UV printing technology.

Having recently installed a new, first of its kind in the UK, double sided sublimation printer, we are looking for an enthusiastic, hands on and large format print operative to join our well established, dynamic business at our Kimbolton Head Office.

Job Description:

As part of our small but busy print team you will be a key operator, working with our sublimation and UV print machines, Zund cutting bed and finishing equipment.

This role requires a dynamic, productive individual who is keen to help the team develop further and deliver goods in line with our high standard of customer satisfaction.

Location: Head Office in Kimbolton

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week. Overtime available.

Salary: £28,000 to £33,000 - Dependent on experience

Main Responsibilities of the Job:

This is just an overall summary of the job and is not a full list of job responsibilities

· Running a range of large format printers, including 3.2m D.Gen Dye Sublimation printers, 2.5m Agfa UV printer and a first of its kind in the UK double sided sublimation printer.

· Producing work and meeting deadlines to specifications determined by job packs provided.

· Running a Zund cutting bed.

· Using Welding and other finishing machines.

· Ripping and colour management (Caldera) skills

· Loading and unloading of material onto printers (so manual handling is essential)

· Carrying out daily machine maintenance.

· Following quality control procedures.

The Ideal Candidate:

· A team player who upholds the company values.

· Knowledge of different printing substrates.

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

· Fit and healthy as manual labour will be required (e.g. loading and cleaning machines).

· Self-motivated, detail orientated individual with excellent organisational skills.

· A commitment to ensuring quality standards are met.
