Full job description

Spire Healthcare is a leading independent healthcare group in the United Kingdom, running 38 hospitals and over 50 clinics across England, Wales and Scotland. It provides diagnostics, inpatient, day case and outpatient care, operates a network of private GPs and provides workplace health services to over 800 corporate clients. It also delivers a range of private and NHS mental health, musculoskeletal and dermatological services.

Our Spire Clinics deliver a specific range of lower risk outpatient and day case treatments (all on a local anaesthetic basis), which provides faster care for day care patients. The Clinical specialities include Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Gynaecology and Orthopaedics

Spire Healthcare Harrogate clinic is currently looking for a Reception Administrator to work on reception as well carrying out administrative duties.

Hours of work

Mon - Fri shifts between 8:00 – 20:00 (20.30 Thursdays)

8:00 - 16:00 or 12:00 - 20:00

Sat 8:00 - 14:00

The responsibilities of this role will include:

In this pivotal role you will provide administrative support across the clinic in addition to concierge services to ensure our patients receive the 5 star care they deserve.
Be welcoming, patient focused and deliver a high standard of customer service
To deal with enquiries from patients, staff and visitors in a courteous, timely and efficient manner. This may be by face to face or telephone.
Working as multi-skilled member of the team providing high level, quality support to the Clinic, covering reception, admin back office, switchboard and any other administrative duties required by the Clinic
The filing of medical records following the correct procedure as per the Spire Clinic Policy.
To always practice and maintain a high standard of confidentiality and exercise absolute discretion in the use of all patient/consultant and staff information.
To undertake various clerical duties

The Ideal candidate will have:

Experience in frontline customer service, reception and/or administration is highly desired
Previous experience in a face-to-face customer service environment preferable (Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality)
Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
Experience in building and maintaining good relationships with customers, Consultants and Colleagues.
Be customer oriented; friendly and able to exude an approachable attitude towards patients and colleagues
Experience working in a highly organised, accurate and fast-paced environment
