Full job description

Job Title: Bookkeeper

Position type: Permanent, Part Time (20 hours per week)

Salary: £18,720 per year

Location: Tower Park, Poole.

7 Ply Ltd trades as Consortium and is a small and busy independently owned online retailer specialising in clothing, footwear and lifestyle products. We operate in a fast-paced environment and place strong importance on accuracy, organisation and teamwork throughout the business.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced in-house bookkeeper who will be solely responsible for maintaining all areas of our bookkeeping and payroll.

Key Responsibilities

Reconciling supplier invoices against delivery notes and statements and uploading them to our accounting software.
Maintaining sales and purchase Ledgers.
Reconciling bank and credit card accounts.
Creating and monitoring cashflow projections.
Scheduling supplier payments within payment terms and applying settlement discounts where applicable.
Creating monthly management accounts.
Preparing and submiting VAT returns.
Working with our accountant to finalise and submit our year end accounts.
Running our monthly payroll and keeping a record of staff holiday hours.

The right candidate will:

Be proficient with Xero and the Microsoft Office suite.
Be a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail.
Be able to work with speed and accuracy and adheare to deadlines.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Work well both independently and as part of a team.
Have a flexible, positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Previous experience is essential.

Working Hours

Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm, we can be flexible with your working hours within these times.

Holiday Entitlement

As a part time team member working 20 hours per week, you will be entitled to 112 hours of paid holiday per year.

Holiday entitlement will be accrued and apportioned in the first year based on time in the role.
