Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Painter/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with painting projects and general labour tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. This position offers valuable experience in domestic painting and labouring, with opportunities for skill development and career progression.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers
Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment on-site
Support the team in various construction tasks including site clearance and material movement
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and requirements
Operate vehicles such as vans when necessary for transportation of materials

Qualifications

Valid driving licence is essential
Experience in construction painting or related trades is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
Good command of English language for effective communication on-site
Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks efficiently within the team
Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to undertake physical labour including lifting and standing for extended periods
