Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Router Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC routers to produce high-quality products, primarily working with foam and other materials. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude and experience in machining processes to contribute to a dynamic production environment. The position is suitable for those eager to develop their technical skills within a professional setting.

Hours of work

13:30 – 22:00 Monday – Thursday, 13:30 – 19:30 Friday (Afternoon)

Duties

Set up, programme, and operate CNC routers to produce precise parts according to specifications.
Interpret technical drawings and CAD files to ensure accurate production.
Conduct routine maintenance and inspection of CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Apply basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
Ensure adherence to safety standards
Maintain organised work areas and document production activities accurately.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC routers or similar machining equipment.
Knowledge of CAD software is highly desirable.
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for quality control.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good organisational skills and commitment to safety standards in a manufacturing environment. This role provides a valuable opportunity for individuals passionate about manufacturing technology and precision engineering to grow their expertise within a supportive team environment.
