Overview
We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Care Compliance Administrator to join our team. This role provides administrative and operational support to ensure the organisation maintains high standards of quality, compliance, and regulatory performance across its services.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting compliance processes, maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation, monitoring actions, and assisting with audits and inspections. They will work closely with Registered Managers, Service Managers, and the senior leadership team to ensure compliance requirements are met and evidence is maintained.
The role will also require occasional field-based work within our services and the ability to provide direct support to people we support during periods of annual leave, sickness absence, staffing shortages, or increased business demand.
Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, or within a health and social care setting is essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance Administration
- Maintain compliance records, policies, procedures, and quality assurance documentation.
- Support managers in preparing for CQC inspections, local authority audits, and quality monitoring visits.
- Assist with the coordination and administration of compliance audits and quality assurance activities.
- Monitor and track audit actions, service improvement plans, and compliance deadlines.
- Ensure documentation is up to date, accurately filed, and readily available for inspection purposes.
- Prepare reports, compliance trackers, and management information as required.
- Support the review and updating of policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain records relating to incidents, complaints, compliments, safeguarding concerns, and quality improvements.
Medication and MAR Administration
- Support the review and monitoring of Medication Administration Records (MARs).
- Assist managers in identifying missing signatures, medication omissions, recording errors, and documentation concerns.
- Maintain medication audit records and track completion of required actions.
- Ensure medication-related documentation is accurately recorded and stored.
- Support monitoring of staff medication competency assessments and training compliance.
Workforce Compliance
- Maintain records of staff training, qualifications, DBS checks, right-to-work documentation, and professional registrations.
- Monitor mandatory training compliance and notify managers of upcoming renewals.
- Support onboarding and compliance checks for new employees.
- Assist in maintaining staff personnel records and compliance files.
Service Support
- Conduct occasional visits to services to support managers with compliance monitoring and documentation checks.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to promote good practice and continuous improvement.
- Provide direct care and support within services when operationally required, including covering annual leave, sickness absence, vacancies, and periods of increased demand.
- Support managers with administrative tasks relating to service delivery and compliance.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Senior Support Worker, or within a health and social care environment.
- Good understanding of health and social care regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, quality assurance activities, or compliance processes.
- Experience reviewing care records, MAR charts, or healthcare documentation.
- Knowledge of CQC standards and person-centred care principles.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic care management systems.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willingness to work within services and provide direct support when required.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience supporting CQC inspections or local authority quality audits.
- Experience with MAR audits or medication administration processes.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience working within Supported Living, Domiciliary Care, Residential Care, or Complex Care services.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
