Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Barber to operate independently, providing professional grooming services to clients. As a self-employed professional, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and build your client base. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a keen eye for hair styling, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality barbering services while managing your own business operations.

Duties

Deliver professional barbering services including haircuts, trims, shaves, and grooming treatments tailored to client preferences
Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering expert advice on styles and grooming products
Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations
Manage appointments efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery and client satisfaction
Build and retain a loyal client base through personalised service and effective communication
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hair styling and barbering techniques
Handle cash or electronic payments securely and maintain accurate records of transactions

Experience

Proven experience in barbering with a strong portfolio of hair styling work
Demonstrable customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English
Knowledge of current hair styling trends and grooming products
Previous experience working independently as a self-employed professional is advantageous but not essential; willingness to develop business management skills is required
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds
Valid barbering qualifications or certifications recognised within the industry are preferred but not mandatory if accompanied by substantial practical experience
