The key purpose of this role is to define, own and evolve Open GI’s pricing strategy across its full suite of software products, supporting strategic growth.
The Head of Pricing is the central point of commercial alignment across the business, working in close partnership with Product, Finance, Sales, Legal and Marketing to ensure pricing decisions are financially rigorous, market-informed and commercially consistent. The role will bring structure and governance to a critical area as Open GI continues to scale.
Your key responsibilities
- Own Open GI’s end-to-end Pricing Strategy across all revenue streams ensuring alignment with business objectives, growth targets, and the evolution towards SaaS-aligned pricing principles.
- Maintain and own a clear pricing framework, price book and cost model that improves speed, comparability, consistency and ease of sale. Interface with Finance to ensure consistency.
- Develop pricing approaches that support commercial transition from legacy models.
- Evaluate pricing economics across product lines, including recurring versus capital revenue dynamics and the commercial implications of platform and hosting changes.
- Working with the Partner Director, own and maintain the Partner commission model / framework.
- Build close relationships with the Product team to ensure pricing is fully considered in new product development, product packaging and changes to product strategy, while ensuring strategic margin objectives are met.
- Build and maintain strong partnering relationships across Product, Finance, Sales, Legal and Marketing to drive commercial and contractual alignment and ensure consistent application of pricing across the organisation.
- Own governance and approval processes for pricing decisions, defining delegation levels that empower Sales to act within clear parameters.
- Conduct regular market analysis to track competitor pricing, product packaging and industry trends, translating insight into actionable pricing recommendations. Own and evolve product packaging and bundling models, ensuring propositions are aligned to customer value, commercially clear and scalable.
- Conduct regular price sensitivity analysis to ensure Open GI’s pricing remains commercially optimised.
- Conduct regular reviews and report on pricing performance against KPIs to the Board and senior leadership. Track the revenue and margin impact of pricing decisions and report findings to senior leadership.
Provide insight and recommendations to support alignment between pricing strategy, commercial objectives and sales incentive structures, based on in-depth pricing analysis.

What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications
- Degree and/or relevant professional Finance or Business qualification.
Experience
- Proven track record (7+ years) in product pricing, commercial strategy or a senior pricing role within a SaaS, technology, insurance or pricing consultancy business, incorporating customer willingness to pay and value.
- Background in or knowledge of the general insurance market — whether software, insurer, broker or MGA — is highly desirable.
- Experience building and owning pricing, packaging and bundling frameworks end-to-end, from strategy through to operational execution and performance management.
- Experienced in SaaS revenue models, pricing governance structures and board-level reporting.
- Strong track record of cross-functional business partnering with C-suite and Product, Finance Sales, Legal and Marketing, challenging assumptions and influencing senior stakeholders to drive commercial alignment.
Technical Skills
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and financial rigour.
- Excellent communicator and influencer, able to drive alignment across senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Analytical and data-driven, comfortable building models and presenting insights at Board level.
- Self-motivated, consultative and genuinely curious about customers’ businesses and the market.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, structured modelling techniques, and sensitivity, margin and ROI analysis.
