Full job description

Company Overview

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Café Supervisor to join our team. This is a key role within the business, combining front-of-house leadership with kitchen support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the café.

The successful candidate will work across both the front of house and kitchen, supporting our service team and line chefs as required. While the role will be predominantly front-of-house focused, regular kitchen shifts and line work will form an important part of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service
Lead shifts and ensure smooth daily operations
Work alongside and support the kitchen team during service
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness and customer service.
Ensure all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed
Support opening, closing and cash handling procedures

Essential Requirements

Previous supervisory experience within a café, restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong understanding of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Flexible, reliable and able to work across different areas of the business (we also run an events business with lots of potential for overtime)
