Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring the health and beauty of gardens and green spaces. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position is paid and suitable for those who enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in creating visually appealing green areas.

Duties

Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising plants to promote healthy growth
Using hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes for various gardening tasks
Operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers safely and efficiently
Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants
Maintaining landscape features such as flower beds, lawns, shrubs, and trees
Assisting with soil preparation, mulching, and pest control measures
Monitoring plant health and identifying signs of disease or pests
Ensuring all outdoor areas are kept tidy, safe, and visually appealing

Experience

Prior experience in gardening or horticulture is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is advantageous
Growing experience or knowledge of plant care techniques is desirable
Understanding of landscape maintenance practices and horticultural principles is beneficial
A genuine interest in gardening, landscape design, or horticulture will be highly valued
