RVS Refuse Vehicle Solutions

£29,000 – £32,000 per annum | Permanent | Full‑time

Job Details

Salary: £29,000 – £32,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Type: Permanent, Full‑time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours (8:00am – 5:00pm)

Location: In person – Dursley, Gloucestershire

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly organised and reliable Sales Administrator to support the sales and commercial teams at RVS Refuse Vehicle Solutions.

This role is ideal for someone with strong sales‑office or commercial administration experience who enjoys accuracy, structure, and supporting customer‑facing teams. You do not need to be a salesperson, but you must be confident working in a busy sales office environment with customers, quotes, orders, and systems.

A key part of the role is taking ownership of the sales pipeline administration and reporting cadence, ensuring it remains accurate, current and useful for weekly and monthly management reporting.

While this is not a leadership role, there is scope for progression over time as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Commercial Administration

Preparing and issuing sales quotations
Processing orders accurately and in a timely manner
Maintaining up‑to‑date and accurate CRM records and sales pipeline
Supporting the sales team with administration, reporting, and follow‑ups
Managing customer documentation, correspondence, and records
Assisting with renewals, re‑engagements, and follow‑up activity

Sales Pipeline Ownership (Admin & Governance)

Owning the day‑to‑day administration of the master sales pipeline (updates, hygiene, consistency and completeness)
Chasing missing information internally and ensuring opportunities are updated in a timely manner
Supporting the team to keep pipeline stages and values aligned to agreed reporting requirements (e.g., probability buckets / near‑term vs future)
Producing and circulating pipeline snapshots as required for management review

Weekly & Monthly Sales Reporting

Producing weekly sales reports (e.g., weekly tracker / performance view) for internal review
Producing monthly sales reports and pipeline summaries to support profitability and cashflow visibility
Ensuring reporting is accurate, consistent, and issued on time, with key actions / gaps highlighted clearly
Coordinating inputs from relevant teams so reports reflect the true position (orders, delivery, invoicing where required)

Customer & Internal Support

Handling incoming customer and sales enquiries professionally
Acting as a key point of contact between customers, sales, and internal teams
Supporting the resolution of queries and issues promptly
Ensuring customer interactions are logged correctly and followed through

Process, Accuracy & Compliance

Ensuring sales paperwork, pricing, and documentation are consistent and accurate
Supporting continuous improvement of sales admin processes
Flagging errors, gaps, or inefficiencies in systems or workflows
Working closely with finance, service, and operations where required

What We’re Looking For

Essential

Proven experience in a sales office, commercial admin, pipeline admin, or sales support role
Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident using systems (CRM / trackers) and Microsoft Office
Comfortable producing weekly and monthly reporting
Confident communicator, both written and verbal
Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience in engineering, automotive, fleet, or industrial sectors
Exposure to quotations, contracts, or order processing
An interest in developing broader commercial responsibilities as the business grows

Progression & Development

This role offers long‑term stability with the opportunity to broaden commercial responsibilities over time, based on performance and business needs.

Pay: £29,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
