About the Client
We are recruiting for a Female Live-In Carer / Personal Assistant to support a 25-year-old female client living with complex physical health needs following a life-changing injury.
Our client lives a very active and social lifestyle and is passionate about maintaining her independence. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, going out for meals, attending appointments, and keeping busy outside of the home. Most days are spent out in the community, so this role would suit someone energetic, adaptable, and confident in supporting an active young woman.
The client is very family-oriented and spends a lot of time with relatives, including her young nieces and nephews. Although she does not have pets herself, family members have dogs, so applicants must be comfortable around animals.
Due to the client’s age, lifestyle, and social preferences, we are specifically seeking a female carer aged 35 or under.
About the Role
This is a live-in care role focused on enabling independence, supporting daily living, and assisting the client to continue enjoying an active lifestyle safely and confidently.
You will provide a mixture of personal care, clinical support, companionship, and community access support while promoting dignity, choice, and independence at all times.
A calm, confident, and proactive approach is essential, alongside strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing needs and busy daily routines.
Clinical Support Requirements
The client:
- Is an amputee - self-transfers with guidance / assistance
- Diabetic
- Has both bowel and bladder stomas
- Requires pressure area and wound care support
- Uses an electric wheelchair
Experience supporting individuals with complex physical health needs is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with daily routines and personal care
- Assist with stoma care and diabetes management support
- Support with pressure area care and wound monitoring
- Assist with transfers and mobility support
- Accompany the client to appointments, shopping trips, meals, and social activities
- Drive a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) confidently and safely
- Promote independence and active community engagement
- Maintain accurate records and report concerns appropriately
- Support emotional wellbeing and provide companionship
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team and family
Essential Skills & Experience
- Female applicants only (genuine occupational requirement)
- Aged 35 or under due to client preference and compatibility
- Experience supporting individuals with complex physical disabilities
- Confident supporting diabetes management and stoma care
- Experience with pressure care and wound care
- Confident assisting with transfers and mobility support
- Full UK driving licence with strong driving confidence
- Comfortable driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV)
- Reliable, compassionate, and professional
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable around children and dogs
Desirable
- Previous live-in care experience
- Experience supporting amputees or spinal/neurological injuries
- Experience working within multidisciplinary care teams
Compliance Requirements

Pay: £1,000.00-£1,200.00 per week
Work Location: In person
