Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent service to patrons in a lively and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and organised bar area, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while working in a vibrant setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with company standards
Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to food safety regulations
Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
Restock supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages
Assist with setting up events or special promotions as required
Provide friendly and professional service to all guests, fostering a welcoming atmosphere

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer service excellence
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service
Ability to serve drinks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Good organisational skills to keep the bar area tidy and stocked
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Previous restaurant or bar experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse customers
