Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports to support decision-making processes
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of transactions
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in financial management
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulatory requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and systems

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the financial services sector
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems
Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to analyse complex financial data and present clear reports
Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable processes
Demonstrated mentoring skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are desirable but not essential
Knowledge of regulatory standards applicable to financial reporting is advantageous
