Housekeeping / Laundry Assistant

£12.71 per hour plus 75p per hour Attendance Bonus

1 x Part Time Vacancy available (working alternate weekends is required)

As a Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant at Julie Richardson Nursing Home, you'll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Our local, family-run Nursing Home requires a dedicated and conscientious Housekeeper /Laundry Assistant to join our friendly team on a part-time basis. We’re seeking a caring and compassionate individuals who enjoys interacting with elderly individuals and assisting them with their daily living activities. Candidates must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, well-organised and able to work both independently.

The successful candidate will be part of a team maintaining a clean and safe environment for all residents and staff. Applicants must be motivated, have good communication skills and be a team player.

Duties for this role will include:

Effectively manage the housekeeping, laundry and ironing of clothing and linen to a high standard, ensuring an adequate supply of these items at all times.
Have a working knowledge of washing and drying different fabrics.
Responsible for the maintenance of the laundry equipment.
Cleaning of Residents Bedrooms and all Communal Areas
Maintaining Housekeeping Stock
Be aware of health and safety policies.

Experience is not essential; as we will support you with all the training and support you’ll need to do the job. What is important to us is that you are a caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, who is interested in working in a close and friendly team.

Flexibility to work alternate weekends is needed.
