Full job description

Job Overview

I am looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Assistant to join my home-based childcare setting. You will work alongside me to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and thrive.

Duties

Assist with the supervision and care of children in a safe and supportive setting
Engage children in educational activities, play, and creative exercises to promote learning and development
Support snack times, nap routines, and hygiene practices in accordance with established guidelines
Communicate effectively with children to encourage positive behavior and social skills
Collaborate with parents and team members to ensure each child's individual needs are met
Help organize outings, activities, and special events that stimulate curiosity and social interaction
Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, patience, and a positive attitude. Previous childcare experience and a Pediatric First Aid is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right person. An Enhanced DBS check will be required before employment.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly, child-centred setting where you can make a real difference to children's early development while gaining valuable experience in home-based childcare.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
