Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a Part-time Legal Cashier to join our legal practice. This vital role involves managing the firm’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in billing, payments, and account reconciliations. Must be fully conversant with Solicitors Regulation Authority Accounts rules.

Duties

Process and record client payments, disbursements, and internal transfers using accounting software
Manage accounts payable by verifying invoices, preparing payment runs, and ensuring timely supplier settlements
Reconcile client and office accounts daily to maintain accurate financial records
Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standard
Collaborate with fee earners and administrative staff to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to client accounts

Skills

Proven experience with accounting software is essential
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation techniques
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication within the team
Familiarity with legal finance procedures and terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data management and reporting

Pay: £15.00-£16.66 per hour
