Full job description

Job Overview

We're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Head Server to join our independently owned restaurant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering excellent customer service while helping lead a friendly, hardworking front-of-house team.

As a Head Server, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming dining experience, supporting team members, and ensuring smooth day-to-day service. We value dedication, a positive attitude, and a willingness to grow. With our expanding business, there are excellent opportunities for career progression into management and other leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
Lead by example during service and support the front-of-house team.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Ensure food and drinks are served accurately and efficiently.
Handle customer questions and resolve any issues professionally.
Help train and support new team members.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the restaurant.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth service.
Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Previous experience as a server in a busy restaurant is essential.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and a team-first mindset.
Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Leadership experience is a plus, but we're happy to help the right candidate develop into the role.
