Flexible Hours | Great Extra Income For someone looking for flexibility

Are you looking for a rewarding finance role that fits around your life? We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Admin Assistant to assist our small Finance team on a part-time, flexible basis. Whether you are an experienced or someone looking to for some part-time work in finance, we offer an environment and the flexibility you might need.

The Details

Salary: £14,000 – £17,000 per annum (pro-rata).
Hours: 20–25 hours per week.
Days: 3 to 5 days per week (Monday – Friday).
Flexibility: We are open to discussing your ideal setup. Work can be staggered or compressed as long as it falls within the window of 09:00 to 17:00.
There are no night shifts or weekend requirements.

The Role

You will be a key part of our finance function, ensuring our records are accurate and our suppliers are happy. Your day-to-day will involve:

Transactional Accuracy: Processing purchase and sales invoices
Ledger Maintenance: Assisting with bank reconciliations, daily transaction matching, and preparing journals.
Payment Support: Helping with weekly supplier and subcontractor payment runs
Workflow Management: Managing invoice workflows and reconciling statements to resolve any discrepancies.
Specialist Tasks: Supporting VAT preparation, handling fleet/vehicle hire invoicing, and downloading financial statements.
Collaboration: Responding to internal queries and supporting the team during the busy month-end period.

We value attitude and reliability as much as technical skill.

Experience: No prior experience is needed, but if you have some finance admin experience, it is welcome but not necessary—we are happy to train the right person.
Skills: You should be comfortable with numbers, organised, and have a "can-do" approach to problem-solving.
Mindset: This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent part-time work that offers a great work-life balance.
