Full job description

This is a chef's job that doesn't often become available!

We are looking for an experienced chef to become our Prep Chef.

Straight day shifts with the same two days off, back to back, every week. 30 hrs/wk min, starting at £16/hr with good tips averaging around £10/hr. This brings your real hourly rate up to about £26/hr

We will expect you to do the occasional evening service shift, which we believe is good for keeping you in touch with the evening service chef team. We would like you to work one Saturday evening per month so that we can give one service chef a Saturday off each month. La Tortilla Asesina has been operating for 23 years. It has good systems and a great small team, and we're looking for someone to take over an established role in the kitchen.

All your rotas are done for you, all specialised cleaning is done for you, all recruitment is done for you, all menu work is done for you. You just need to focus on prep, ordering and stock control. We believe that chefs should be allowed to chef and the company management team can do the admin.

There is also a possibility of promotion into management and partnership when the company expands.
