Full job description

LaunchPad Sports Club is looking for an experienced PE Teacher to join our growing team.

This is a full-time role working across a small number of partner primary schools, delivering PE lessons, PPA cover and high-quality extracurricular sport.

Unlike a traditional teaching position, the role focuses on delivering outstanding PE and sport without many of the wider classroom responsibilities. Alongside school delivery, you'll also lead lunchtime and after-school clubs, holiday camps and community sports programmes throughout the year.

The Role

Working across a small cluster of partner schools, you will:

Deliver PE lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Provide high-quality PPA cover.
Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that meet National Curriculum objectives.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
Assess and monitor pupil progress where appropriate.
Deliver lunchtime and after-school clubs including football, gymnastics, netball, basketball, multi-sports and art.
Lead sessions at LaunchPad Holiday Camps during school holidays.
Support the delivery of evening and weekend community sports programmes where required.

We're Looking For Someone Who

Has experience teaching PE in a primary school setting.
Can confidently manage classes and build positive relationships with children.
Enjoys making PE engaging, inclusive and enjoyable for all abilities.
Is organised, professional and reliable.
Shares our belief that every child should have a positive experience of sport.

Essential

Experience teaching primary-aged children.
Strong behaviour management skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Primary PE specialism.
Sports coaching qualifications.
First Aid qualification.
