Full job description

PayStream Accounting Services Limited have an opening for an Accounts Senior to join our Accounts department at our Altrincham office. Hybrid working options available subject to training and probation.

The salary for this role is from £30,000. Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30.

Offers full support to train as a qualified accountant with study support and to progress within the role.

The Role:

Providing accounting, tax and administrative services to limited companies ensuring an excellent customer experience for the client
Working with various accounting software including Freeagent, Quickbooks, Xero, Sage Payroll
Ensuring all statutory deadlines are met, with tailored advice being provided
Management accounts preparation, and ensuring these are accurate within service levels pre agreed with the client
Supporting colleagues, ensuring they receive the correct level of training and development
Having detailed proactive calls to ensure the client is aware of their responsibilities
Ongoing communication with clients regarding tax, expenses, dividends, salary and other matters
Preparation of statutory accounts from a client records
Annual discussion around statutory accounts, discussing their financial performance and position. Giving them tax advise as necessary
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Understand and be able to communicate HMRC deadlines to clients in relation to VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax.
Ensure all daily deadlines are met, with particular attention to KPI’s

Requirements:

Minimum grade C in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
Office or administration experience
Experience of working within a customer service setting
Experience of working in an accountancy practice
Experience of working within a telephony-based role
Working knowledge of Word and Excel
