CHILDRENS SUPPORT WORKER

About you

No two days will be the same, each day will face new exciting challenges with great team support. We are looking for patient and caring individuals who are able to support our young people through their challenging circumstances and work with them to build their resilience and independence. This is a challenging yet rewarding environment with excellent support and a comprehensive fully funded training programme to help you carry out your role confidently.

Responsibilities of the role
*Supervise and monitor the safety of children inside the home and community.
*Prepare meals and organise mealtimes and snacks for children.
*Help children keep good hygiene.
*Display yourself as a positive role model
*Promote a positive attitude, resilience and empathy
*Develop a cleaning routine throughout the day/night that keeps all of the interactive areas sanitary and safe.
*Promoting positive behaviours and outcomes.
*Taking young people on activities, education, appointment and family visits.

*Driving License essential* - role requires staff to take young people to appointments/meetings and activities.
*Minimum age 21*- Regulations for the business require that staff have a minimum age gap between them and the young people we care for.

There is also excellent future prospects for further development and progression into management roles within the business.
As part of the role a DBS check will be carried out on all applicants as required by law. (We will fund this)

**Please let us know if you're signed up to the DBS update service (this will be re-embused to you yearly)**

Flexibility needed as shifts will include days, waking nights and weekends.

Shifts are as follows-
Days - 07:30 – 20.00
Nights – 19.30 - 08:00

Average of 43.75 hours per week.
