Job description

We are a fabrication and engineering company located in Andover. We currently have three opportunities for Trainee Pipe Fitters to join the team.

You will be working under supervision from a senior team member whilst carrying out material preparation, assembly of screwed and bolted pipework, pressure testing, preparation of manufacturing packs, and final inspection.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career within the fabrication and engineering sector.

There are also further opportunities to develop your career within the business.

You will be shadowing a team member to learn : -

Installation of threaded pipework.
Understanding engineering assembly and fabrication drawings.
Material preparation
Mechanical fit-up of Welded pipework
Pressure testing
Inspection

Details:

Salary - £13 per hour dependant on experience
Location - Andover
Duration - permanent
Extensive training will be provided.

Education & Experience:

GCSEs at level 5 or above Maths & English is essential.
Relevant experience in a manufacturing facility would be beneficial.
Interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams, to interact with production/maintenance colleagues and managers alike.
Polite and friendly.
Motivated individual who can work on one's own initiative.
