Job Overview

We are seeking a self-employed Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers, maintaining excellent communication throughout the process. This role offers flexible working arrangements and requires a professional, reliable individual with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations within designated areas
Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery times and fuel consumption
Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are secure during transit
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain signatures upon receipt of goods
Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays
Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
Ensure all deliveries are completed within scheduled timeframes

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with valid driving credentials
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required
Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding logistics and inventory handling
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
