Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about food and hospitality to develop their skills in a professional kitchen environment. The role provides hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with the potential for career progression within our organisation. Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
Support the organisation and management of food production processes
Help maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations
Participate in kitchen cleaning routines to ensure a safe and organised workspace
Contribute to team efforts during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
Learn about menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control
Support supervising staff as needed in daily kitchen operations
Assist with serving food to customers during events or service hours when required

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Basic knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Strong interest in culinary arts, food production, and hospitality industry standards
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent team management and communication skills
Supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for future advancement
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment is beneficial
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
