Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient safety and an understanding of medication administration processes.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of medications.
Assist in the medication administration process under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Ensure that the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Support the training of new staff members as required.

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
